Meet the Pastor
Crossroads Lutheran Congregation
Greetings! My name is Sarah Carlstrom. I am so blessed to be here in Dawson partnering with the great people of Crossroads Lutheran Congregation to serve the LORD. I began my call here in January of 2016. My calling is to care for the sheep the Father has entrusted to me; feeding the sheep, healing the sick, strengthening the weak, binging the injured, bringing back strays, searching for the lost, and doing these things with justice and love (Ezekiel 34) with the help of the Good Shepherd, Jesus Christ and empowered by Holy Spirit. I attended St. John’s School of Theology and Seminary in St. Joseph, MN to earn a Masters of Divininy and completed my Lutheran work at Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN. I served 7 years as the Youth & Family Ministry Coordinator and 6 years as a Choir Teacher in the public school system in the past.
I love music, reading, playing board games and spending time with my family. I married my best friend, Justin, in 2006. We both grew up in Wadena, MN. Our continued prayer together is that we would grow closer to each other and closer to the LORD. We know firsthand to be careful what you pray for, because God will answer – sometimes in a way you never expected! We also trust that God has a plan for us, not to harm us but to give us a hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11)
Crossroads Lutheran Congregation is a place where we strive to help people find their greatest passion, develop it, and use it to serve the Lord. This means our work, families, hobbies, and faith lives intersect! We stand on the Word of God, longing to speak the truth in love so that all might know the love of Christ. Most of all, we assume the responsibility of being a disciples of Jesus Christ, a catalyst of disciples-making disciples. We wish to work together with the larger Body of Christ in our area, that the Father’s kingdom would come and his will be done “on earth as it is in heaven.”
If you don’t have a church home, we warmly welcome you to visit our church family either in person or through the video live streams. We truly believe the LORD led you here! Don’t be afraid to ask him, why?
